Betrothal

Betrothal is a work that bubbled up from absorbing and observing what is involved in committed relationships. Seeing commitment as an ever expanding and contracting liaison seemed to fit well with my love for combining different materials.  Glass is a material that symbolizes clarity and transparency for me.  In this piece the two combined glass shapes are fused into one glass form of committment.
